Richard B. Cheney, a distinguished businessman and public servant who is vice president. Cheney known as a popular figure in Washington politics, worked for four presidents of the US. George W. Bush is the fourth. Bush chose Cheney as his vice presidential candidate in July 2000, due to Cheney's wisdom judgment and his experience. Dick Cheney is a former chief of staff for a President, he served as a member of Congress and as Director of the Department. Both Republicans as well as Democrats respect him for his honesty and integrity. Cheney claims that the role he plays within the administration as one of an honest but shrewd adviser to Bush. In accepting the Republican vice president's nomination Cheney declared that he's looking forward to serving with a president who will work for the accomplishment of goals through engaging across partisan lines and working with political opponents to achieve a mutual goal. Richard Bruce Cheney, son of Richard Herbert Cheney & Marjorie Lauraine Dickey was born on 30 January 1941 in Lincoln Nebraska. Cheney moved into Casper, Wyoming with his family when he reached the age of 13. His father, who was employed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, directed the soil conservation district in Casper.
