Amy Lou Adams, full name Amy Lou Adams (born 20 August 1974 in Aviano Italy), American actress. She is known for her naive roles that are engaging and relatable. Adams was among seven children who lived as a child in the city of Castle Rock, Colorado. Adams was born when her father worked for the U.S. Military in Italy. The mid-1990s saw her begin professional dancing and acting at the Boulder Dinner Theatre and the Country Dinner Playhouse in Colorado. Then she was in Minnesota and at a local theatre she was chosen to be a part of an unrealized documentary film about beauty pageants titled Drop Dead Gorgeous. Her screen debut was a huge success where she played an annoying but pleasant contestant, Janet relocating to Los Angeles where she began a professional acting career.
