Kristen Noel Kristy Swanson, an American actress, is known for her portrayals of Buffy Summers and Rebecca Becky Granger. She has also appeared as the characters in the telefilm Nightingales as well as the NBC show of similar name (which ran for only a few episodes), Erica Paget on CBS's show Early Edition, and Marlowe Viccellio in the show Psych. Swanson is a native Californian. Her early years were marked by an passion for acting. She started her career acting in commercials as an actress. She first made screen appearances in an episode on NBCs sitcom It's Your Time in 1984. In 1986 she debuted in a romantic comedy called Pretty in Pink. Swan, known for her breathless voice and blonde hairdo, has played parts in a variety of roles over the last few years. Flowers in the Attic earned her the Young Artist Award in the Horror or Mystery Motion Picture category in 1989.
